Ecohesion: knowledge, tools, and participation for a just transition
Ecoesione is a spin-off of the University of Pisa created to support the ecological and social transition with an integrated approach that brings together environmental sustainability, social equity and the redistributive effects of ongoing transformations. We believe that research can become a real driver of change when it is translated into accessible, inclusive and useful practices for decision-making.
Our identity comes from the meeting between scientific rigor, technological innovation and project creativity. We offer strategic and operational consulting to public institutions, civil society organizations, NGOs, companies and institutional actors, turning academic research into concrete, modular and scalable solutions.
Our work develops along four main lines: policy-based analysis supported by solid economic models; interactive digital tools to explore and compare complex scenarios; social change games that strengthen participation and inclusion; tailored consulting to accompany transformation processes and overcome social barriers.
We work with public and private actors who need rigorous but flexible tools to face complex decisions: territorial institutions engaged in environmental and socio-economic planning, trade unions and professional associations interested in the distributive impacts of policies, NGOs and think tanks working on climate justice, and European programs such as Horizon Europe and the Just Transition Mechanism.
Our goal is to help make the just transition not only necessary but also possible, offering knowledge, tools and participatory processes to build together a sustainable and fair future.
