Europe beyond GDP and towards well-being: a webinar
How can Europe move beyond GDP and design policies that deliver high levels of well-being while remaining socially and environmentally sustainable? This question will be at the centre of the special seminar “A guide for well-being policy: Discussing WISER’s Green Book”, hosted by STATEC Research on 14 April at 15:30 CET. The speakers include Simone D’Alessandro from the University of Pisa, together with Martijn Burger, Javier Martinez, and Francesco Sarracino.
The event will provide an opportunity to discuss one of the main outputs of the European project WISER – Well-being in a Sustainable Economy Revisited. The aim of the Green Book is to translate cutting-edge interdisciplinary research into a concrete policy agenda for achieving a high well-being economy, aligning productivity, social and environmental sustainability, and experienced quality of life. A specific focus will be placed on the role of social relations as a key driver for creating virtuous cycles and supporting social and environmental economies in which people can thrive.
The seminar is addressed to researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders interested in shaping the future of sustainable and inclusive well-being in Europe.
