Macroeconomic challenges of the green transition III: September 11–12 at the University of Pisa
On September 11 (2:00–7:00 pm) and September 12 (9:00 am–6:00 pm), the Aula Magna of the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Pisa, Via Cosimo Ridolfi 10, will host the third edition of the workshop Macroeconomic challenges of the green transition.
The workshop is conceived as a scientific forum and a space for dialogue among scholars and researchers engaged in exploring the challenges that the ecological transition poses to contemporary economic systems. Particular attention will be given to the relationship between climate policies, environmental changes, and macroeconomic dynamics, with a focus on key issues such as employment, growth, inflation, and income distribution.
Across two days, keynote lectures will alternate with thematic sessions, offering an opportunity for qualified and interdisciplinary debate. The presence of internationally recognized speakers such as Andrew Jackson (University of Surrey), Romain Svartzman (Bocconi University), and Lilia Caiado Couto (Open Society Foundations) confirms the global dimension of the initiative and the intention to enrich the discussion with perspectives from diverse academic and institutional contexts.
The event is organized by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pisa with the support of the European project MAPS (Models, Assessment, and Policies for Sustainability), funded under the Horizon Europe program.
